It's not that difficult to be Altruistic!!
All
the problems of our times i.e., poverty, terrorism, environmental degradation,
religious or linguistic conflict, regional tensions, boundary disputes, are in
some way or the other related to the undying desires of human being for more
and more acquisition of faux, hollow and meaningless values of life which they
have themselves created and standardized. And while we are engaged in this rat
race, we lose our mental peace and happiness. The fight for the competitive
edge and materialistic success at the cost of each other has made us all
in-human, instigating the disgusting and gross worldly scenes that we
experience in our day to day life.
It
is only because, we humans are never satisfied with whatever we have, and we
constantly feel deprived of something or the other, the sense of having less
than the other person is what led to our restless mind and soul. But, we should
always ensure that in our bid to achieve our dreams and fulfil our aspirations,
we do not seize the other person’s right to achieve the dreams by depriving
them of their rightful shares. Honestly in our thoughts and conduct shall
ensure the peaceful and sublime co-existence of humans in the world. The concept
of ethics and moralities has changed over the due course of time, but the basic
essence of ethics has always been “to live our life without hurting others”.
The
epicurean or hedonistic lifestyle, means living for ourselves, has blurred the line of difference between man
and animal, wherein animals don’t have the power of rational thinking, mental
and emotional abilities. So as long as we live, we should live a life, that is
humane and co-existent. We ought to live our life in a way as to be a beacon to
brighten others’ lives, by eradicating darkness from their lives. We should
ensure that we live in perfect peace and harmony as far as we can. As they say,
many of us live as we would never die and many of us die, as we never lived. So
we must take an effort and ensure that we do not regret having lived a wrong
life, having hurt someone knowingly, or having deprived someone of something.
“If
we cannot do well to someone, then, we should make sure that we don’t leave
this world by earning curses from everyone”
We
should, therefore, try to gather as much goodwill as possible for deserving the
best for ourselves and also because eventually that only goes with us. Our presence
in this whole wide world is like a stone thrown in the water. The strength of
the impact with which the stone is hurled into the water determines how bigger
the resultant circle shall be. Likewise, the bigger the circle of goodness and
goodwill as a result of our being in this world, the surer shall be our
attainment of the eternal bliss.
Now
it’s up to us to decide as to what kind of life we want to live and what
reputation do we want to leave behind when we finally depart from here. Notwithstanding
destiny’s micro planning, we can still create or spoil the kind of life we want
to lead in this world with our positive thoughts and humility accompanied by
untiring efforts.
Very nicely expressed
ReplyDeleteHuge appreciation for the positive approach
